Lead Differently
LEAD DIFFERENTLY
Leadership isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about knowing when to listen. When to ask. When to challenge. When to decide. And what you’re bringing into the room while you do it.
Practical, experiential learning for people who lead people — because leadership is something you practise, not simply something you learn about.
You don’t have to know everything to lead well.
For a long time, leadership has been associated with certainty. Have the answer. Set the direction. Make the decision. Keep things moving.
Sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed.
But leadership also asks us to do something considerably harder: not know.
To listen when we’d rather solve. To say something when we’d rather avoid it. To make room for someone’s response without immediately trying to change it. To notice what’s happening in ourselves as well as in the people around us.
That’s the territory of Lead Differently.
Not a collection of leadership tricks. A place to practise how you actually lead.
FOUR WAYS TO LEAD DIFFERENTLY
Where does your leadership need to move?
You don’t need to become a different kind of leader. These leadership programmes start somewhere different — with how you develop people, how you handle the conversations that matter, how you lead through change, or how you understand and use yourself.
01 / DEVELOP PEOPLE
Lead Like a Coach
Help people think — without needing to have all the answers.
Coaching isn’t something leaders need to save for a formal coaching conversation. It’s a way of listening, questioning and being with another person that creates space for them to think.
Learn how to have conversations that develop awareness, responsibility and action; how to listen beyond the words; how to ask questions that create new thinking; and, importantly, how to recognise when coaching isn’t what the situation needs.
Good leadership isn’t coaching all the time. It’s knowing when to coach — and being able to when it matters.

02 / HANDLE WHAT MATTERS
Conversations That Matter
Say what needs to be said. Stay for what happens next.
Some conversations become difficult long before they begin.
We worry about the reaction. We don’t want to upset someone. We want to be liked. We wait for the perfect moment — and sometimes the conversation never happens at all.
This programme works with the inner conversation as much as the outer one: how to prepare without scripting, communicate clearly, stay present when the response is difficult, and leave responsibility where it belongs.
Because clarity can be an act of respect.

03 / NAVIGATE CHANGE
Leading Through Change
Don’t manage the reaction. Get curious about what it’s telling you.
Change is rarely experienced in a straight line.
People can be hopeful and afraid. Excited and angry. Ready to move forward while still grieving what they’re leaving behind.
Rather than treating resistance, uncertainty or emotion as obstacles to overcome, this programme helps leaders become curious about what those responses might be telling them — and what people need in order to move.
Change may be organisational. Transition is human.

04 / USE YOURSELF CONSCIOUSLY
The Leader as Instrument
Before leadership is something you do, it is something other people experience.
Know the instrument. Hear the instrument. Play it consciously. Understand its impact.
Leadership is personal — whether we intend it to be or not.
You bring yourself to every conversation, meeting and decision.
Your assumptions. Your history. Your emotions. Your relationship with power. Your need to know. Your ability to sit with uncertainty. Your presence.
This deeper leadership programme turns the attention towards you as the leader: developing the awareness to notice what you’re bringing, understand its impact and make more conscious choices about how you lead.
Because leadership doesn’t simply come from you. It passes through you.

HOW WE LEARN
Leadership isn’t learned from the sidelines.
We work with theory. Of course we do.
And then we put it to work.
Expect conversation, experimentation, practice, reflection, real situations, feedback and creative exercises. Sometimes you’ll get things wrong — in a place where getting things wrong is useful.
Because working with people is learned by working with people.
And the learning doesn’t stop when the workshop does. What happens when you take it back into your conversations, your team and your organisation is part of the learning too.
LEARN. PRACTISE. APPLY. REFLECT. RETURN.
Not a straight line. A way of learning…
WHO THIS IS FOR
For people who lead people.
You might be leading a team for the first time. You might have been doing it for twenty years.
You might be responsible for two people or two thousand.
What matters is that your work asks you to have conversations, make decisions, build relationships, navigate uncertainty and create the conditions in which other people can do good work.
Lead Differently programmes can be experienced through open programmes, or brought into your organisation for a team or group of leaders.
START WHERE YOU ARE
Where would you like to lead differently?
You don’t need to know which programme you need.
Tell me what’s happening — in your leadership, your team or your organisation — and we’ll start there.
