EXPLORE COACHING

The person behind the coaching... (about me)

Dog Dad. Avid Home Baker. Mediocre Marathon Runner. Serious about good conversations but doesn't; take himself too seriously. For more than 20 years, I've worked around leadership, learning and coaching — with people navigating everything from a first management role to the complexity of senior leadership. Today I'm an ICF PCC Coach, MCS Mentor Coach and CSA - CSS Coach Supervisor. My approach is curious, challenging and deeply human. I won't tell you who to become. I will help you notice what's happening, question what you've stopped questioning, and create the space to decide what comes next.

Gareth’s coaching was invaluable at a time when I struggled to see past my own narrative. He has a unique ability to help you get out of your own head and view obstacles from entirely new angles. Throughout our sessions, Gareth gave me back the confidence in my potential that I had been missing. For those looking for a coach who is professional yet deeply human, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

When the person doing the supporting needs support too.

Supervision creates space to think about your work, your relationships, what's happening beneath the surface — and what the work may be asking of you.

I offer individual and group supervision for coaches and leaders, grounded in reflective practice, systemic thinking, curiosity, compassion and courage.

What is your team not talking about?
Every team has two conversations. The one everyone hears — and the one happening beneath the surface. The Team Cohesion Index helps make that second conversation visible, giving teams a shared language for exploring what is strengthening performance, what may be getting in the way, and where change could make the biggest difference. We look at four dimensions → through twelve factors → from two perspectives → to create one meaningful conversation.

4

dimensions of team cohesion: Clarity. Communication. Connection. Collaboration.

12

critical success factors. Looking beyond a single engagement score to explore the dynamics shaping how the team actually works together.

2

perspectives “I” and “We” — exploring the relationship between individual experience and collective team reality.

1

conversation that matters. Not another report to file away. A starting point for the conversation your team may need to have.

Better coaching isn't about doing more.

It's often about noticing more. Mentor coaching creates a space to examine your actual coaching against the ICF competencies — developing greater awareness, choice and range in how you work. Coaches who work with me highlight:

Constructive Feedback
Understanding of the Competencies
Shared Learning

LET'S PARTNER

Mentor Coaching – Groups

Pay As You Go

Group mentor coaching is founded in competency based feedback from an experienced mentor coach AND a group of fellow observers working at the same level as you.

With each session, a different coach will take their place at the table and be observed on their coaching session with feedback targeted at the ICF set of competencies.

You not only benefit from the presence of your mentor, you observe how others show up in their practice.

Group sizes range from three to six coaches. Sessions last 90 minutes with a suggested minimum of five sessions.

SUPPORT YOUR COACHING

Mentor Coaching – One To One

Pay As You Go

Mentor Coaching allows you – the coach – to get competency based feedback from an experienced mentor coach.

It’s where we observe your coaching session/s with feedback targeted at the ICF set of competencies which enhance your presence.

It deepens your skills and performance through an awareness of your abilities that are unused.

A minimum of three of the ten mentoring hours for ICF credentialing must be one-on-one with the mentor coach. Group mentoring may count for a maximum of seven hours.

What My Dog Taught Me About Love and Loss – and Life

I didn’t expect my dog to become one of my greatest teachers. Certainly not in the messy, chaotic way he lived. And definitely not in the way he left. Simba was an absolute rascal. If his brother was the zen of zen dogs (with one exception: electric scooters), Simba was everything else. Full of life. Full […]

From Dream to Reality: The Unexpected Journey of Writing a Book

If you’d told me a year ago that I’d be holding in my hands my own book, The Ultimate Coaching Handbook: 101 Ways to Support Your Practice, I wouldn’t have believed you. Writing a book had been on my list for years (16+ to be precise), but for a long time, it stayed a background goal […]
